Turkish Cuisine Workshop s prostovoljko Begum

Begüm, ki je preko programa Evropska solidarnostna enota prostovoljka v Mladinskem centru Velenje, obožuje kuhanje, zato si bomo pod njeno taktirko skupaj pripravili sobotno kosilo!

Naučili se bomo skuhati tradicionalne jedi, izvedeli pa tudi kaj je doner in kaj slavni kebap!

Za vse sestavine bomo poskrbeli mi!

“I am currently involved in a cultural and social project. I have been getting to know Slovenian culture and food for 4 months. The biggest part of the projects I am involved in is getting to know the cultures we are in and making differences for ourselves. I started to try the delicious food of Slovenia. Today, I want to share dishes from my own culture with you. Also, maybe this way I can teach you the difference between doner and kebab. I think another way to get to know a culture is to get to know its food. I love cooking. During my volunteering at the youth center, I try to make easy recipes, desserts and cookies with the children and young people. I try to choose the most delicious dishes especially for you. While slovenian people have such a similar taste, you may enjoy getting to know Turkish food more because you will feel like it is your own cuisine and you will gain a different perspective.”
